‘IN DARKNESS I DANCE WITH LIGHT
TO COMPOSE A VISUAL POETRY
AN EMBRACE OF THE SOUL
PAINTED IN THE BEAUTY OF LIGHT.’
In the voyage of visual perception through the eyes of visually impaired people, I attempt to make the loss of sight both visible and tangible. In this series I have portrayed visual impediment people and those who have slowly gone blind. I grew into the unseen world, to undergo how it would feels like to losing ones sight I photographed literally being blindfolded. Therefore I had to rely on my other senses.
‘ I wish to know the world
they live in.’
Tangible portraits painted in the beauty of light, an embrace of your soul, composed as a visual poetry. An authentic signature formed by composing images through light on natural silver crystals. An handcrafted process called Dry plate photography. The crafmanships, the imperfections through the process and the manual development makes every glass negative truly unique.
